What's New This Week
Here's everything new and improved in Golden Analytics this week.
Major Features
Golden Stories — Smarter, More Beautiful Presentations
Stories now use a deep analytics engine that automatically surfaces correlations, anomalies, and key drivers from your data before writing a single slide. You also get:
- 4 new storytelling frameworks: Hidden Driver, Breakdown, Monthly Business Review, and Outlier — each tailored to a specific narrative style.
- 8 new premium slide templates to choose from (4 manual, 4 AI-selected).
- 22+ chart types now available inside stories (up from 5), including maps.
- Full formatting controls on slides: font family, italic/underline, line spacing, letter spacing, and all chart formatting options.
- Delete slides with the Delete or Backspace key.
- Unsaved-changes indicator — an amber dot appears in the toolbar so you always know when you have unsaved work.
Golden Docs — Major UX Improvements
- Natural-language chart creation: Add a chart block and type what you want (e.g., “revenue by region over time”) — the AI builds it for you.
- Rich text editing: Text blocks now support inline bold, italic, and underline with Cmd+B / I / U shortcuts, just like Google Docs.
- Image resize: Drag the corner handle on any image to resize it.
- Collapsible panes: Data, Table of Contents, and Format panes now collapse to thin sidebars independently, giving you more canvas space.
- Drag-and-drop fields onto the canvas: Drop a field onto a blank area to create a new chart, or onto an existing chart to swap or add a field.
- Editable chart titles: Double-click any chart title to edit it inline. New charts get smart defaults like “Revenue by Region.”
- Improved bullet and numbered lists: List markers now render correctly.
- Better AI landing page: Typing a prompt on the Docs landing page now generates content directly without opening the sidebar first.
